Tribute: Rodolfo Walsh Audio

Tribute: Rodolfo Walsh

On 25 March 1977, a day after sending his "Letter from a writer to the military junta", Rodolfo Walsh died defending himself from a Grupo de Tareas that was attempting to kidnap him at the corner of San Juan and Entre Ríos streets. His body was carried to the detention center that was set at the Escuela de Mecánica de la Armada and, thirty years from then, he was never found.
We remember him with two audio files. In one of them, recorded by Casa de las Américas of Cuba, he reads the chapter 23 of his novel "Operación masacre". In the other one –gently given by the archive of Eter/School of Radio– he is doing a note about the Japanese inmigration and he narrates a dance. We also reproduce his "Letter from a writer to the military junta" ("Carta de un escritor a la Junta Militar"). That is how our tribute joins the three passions in Rodolfo Walsh life: literature, journalism and political commitment.
