Tribute: Alvaro Yunque Carro celular
Alvaro Yunque published his first books in 1924: "Versos de la calle" and "La O es redonda". Since then, his production was prolific: he wrote poetry, tales –in which his characters are children or teenagers, as in "Barcos de papel", "Los animales hablan", "Laberinto infantil", and "Las alas de la mariposa"–, critic and historical essays, and theater and film scripts. His realistic writing has always been committed to the social reality and standing for the workers and children. Prohibited by the last military dictatorship, he passed away on January 8, 1982.
At www.alvaroyunque.com.ar , his daughter does a touching tribute offering details on his life and work.
We remember him listening to three poems read by himself: "Carro celular" and "Madrigal entre rejas", from "Balada Policial", and "Décima a un poeta cristiano".
